Tour: The Perito Moreno Glacier

A very intensive day. You go up to the glacier front of the continental ice. You are close up to the steep walls of the glacier. You have the chance to see and hear the cracking and if you are lucky the breaking off, of large ice blocks. You are at the foot of one of the most impressive natural marvels of the southern hemisphere: The Perito Moreno Glacier.

Your bilingual guides (Spanish / English) will guide you during the whole tour. Passengers must have Trekking shoes and clothes (gloves are very important), a good windbreaker and some proviant as lunch. A small trekking backpack is a good idea.
At 9:00 am you leave the Port „Bajo de las Sombras“, crossing on the „Tehuelche“ the arm of the Lake called: „Brazo Rico“. During the crossing you have the chance to see the whole glacier front.
After crossing you will have a small introduction and will start your ascension , with a stop to fit your spikes on (Spikes are provided,)
The ascension is along the Southern Moraine of the Perito Moreno Glacier. After an hour you arrive at a wonderful Panorama point where you enjoy the view and have a short rest.
Crossing onto the glacier you will enjoy trekking aprox. 3 to 4 hours in an incredible landscape. Explore the surface of the glacier: the ice is covered with cracks, crevasses, small rivers and valleys…Lunch break on the glacier is awesome. Ca. 1 hour descent. Return ride on the boat „Tehuelche“. Tour end: ca. 3:00 to 4:00 pm.

Passengers must be over 18 years old (provider admits 18 to 45 years) in a good (normal) physical condition. If you are over 45 and want to participate pls. contact us.
Ankle high trekking shoes are a must (Spike straps). Windbreaker and sunglasses are highly recommended. Gloves, in case of slipping will protect your hands.

Transport: Regular Bus to Torres del Paine

Leaving Calafate early in the morning, you catch the regular bus to the Torres del Paine National Park. Skirting the Andes you travel along the legendary highway 40.

The Hosteria is located right in the heart of Torres del Paine National Park at the end of Lake Grey.Incredible natural scenery, lakes, mountain peaks, glaciers, waterfalls, flora and fauna. Beautifully made and constructed. Situated within a wooded area at the southern end of Lake Grey. The hosteria also offers an excursion aboard its own boat across the lake, up to the face of the glacier at the far end.

Tour: Parque Torres del Paine - Serrano Glacier

Descent of the Río Serrano in Zodiac type boats, until reaching the viewpoint of the Serrano Glacier, and afterwards continuing downriver by boat to Estancia Perales, to savour some of the simple delights of the country life. Returning at the end of the day to Pto. Natales in overland transport (4x4).
